Hola and Aloha,
It's long awaited, and I apologize for that, but the official contest page for the Second Annual Epic Marathon is now up and running. Those of you who already started working on your games, the timeline is now complete, so you are free to choose the background story month of your choice. For those who have been waiting until this page was posted to decide on whether or not you want to participate, this would be a good time to make that decision.
http://www.cp-games.org/marathon/
Remember, it's not too late to join if this contest interests you, so feel free to start if you'd like.
Also, for those who started on May 1st, take notice of the change in deadline.
Reference maps for all three continents will be posted once Me finishes them and sends them to me.
There will be some Design Mission Objectives posted eventually, but not today.
Lastly, for those who are interested in participating, or have already started, I will be setting up a thread in the story forum for you to share your ideas for towns, locations, and major characters with other contestants. But please do not use the public forums for sharing actual plot ideas. The idea here is to help keep the game world consistent, not to spoil the experience for everyone before the contest ends. So please observe courtesy in this matter.
I will also open up the contest to people who would like to write fiction pieces that takes place in this game world. Obviously it won't be the same contest since the Epic Marathon is for games, but for anybody who wants to write a story in prose that occurs in this game world, you're more than welcome. If more than one person decides to undergo that challenge, we'll make a contest out of it.
So that is all. Have fun and build an epic. _________________ Progress Report:

March, 2636—April, 2636— I have most of the plan done already... 0_o
It is coming along grandly. It might not turn out the BEST, but it will be something for sure.
[Edit] Someone might have to do more than one month... _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

Leroy, not every month has to be taken, and that's the idea :
There's plenty of extras for more contestants, and it doesn't matter if someone falls out, they aren't going to leave an unwanted gap. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

Just reminding everyone that the ending is drawing near.
Contest ends August 7th, so don't delay if you've been delaying.
And just a note, I've been really busy this month, so I'm cancelling the Design Mission Objectives that I said I'd be adding. Just make your games and hope it all falls into place.
Good luck. _________________ Progress Report:

August seventh? Aw crap! I thought it was due August 1st. So I stopped working on it since then. I could have done the part I wanted to finish, but now it's pretty much too late! My bad... I wanted to make this all long and complicating, but I know I won't get that done. Then I said, "Just do the parts that matter for now, and add on the the game later." Then Custom stopped working. No joke. It's a fricken family curse! Damn you, Naraku!
I'll see what I can do though.
Damn... By the way. I was banned for a while, in case you were wondering why it was so quiet around here. I promise to keep it down though, so you all still can enjoy yourselves. Hey yall!
PS: Pepsi. Sorry... I have a history of not getting deadlines met... I did a lot, an' learned a lot. Thanks for the experience. (It's probobly the family curse. Yea... It always helps to blame magic.) _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...
