I drew this character at work one day for a game I'm going to make at some point down the road. Anyway, it was good to the point where I sat down in MSPaint and redrew him, so here he is.

Heh. Don't feel so bad. Decent enough for a 'sucky' piece (you said it first!) but for the bad points: Lighting and shadows are off on most part, and yes the proportions are pretty off..but its not bad. I remember your earlier works youre progressing pretty well. More practice is all thats needed here.

I agree with a few negative points here. But Setu, you always told me that you couldent draw... If this is how you draw now, with a bit of practise you could really develop another talent (Besides Music Composition) Big grin

It does look good... Id give it a 6/10. Try draw more.

I like it. It reminds me of Arc the Lad.. but with oven mitts ^_^

It has a good design on the costume. Has a Suikoden-ish feel.

Veld -- I honestly wish I could show you the original paper sketch. It did, believe it or not, look a lot better than this.

Kahn -- I dunno. I don't think it matters how I am at art, I'll always consider it an acquired skill and never a talent.

KainMinter -- The only thing I highly admired about the Arc the Lad series(`cause it was the only good thing about the whole freaking series) was the character design, and I very much use it as inspiration in my artwork. As for Cecil's costume, that was interesting. When I drew him at work, I just made up his costume as I went along...no planning or anything.
