Music is good. It's just that simple. I know that music often gives me the will and energy to work. I listen to music whenever I'm on my computer and a lot of the time when I use the OHRRPGCE. I was just curious as to what type of music people here listen to when creating their games. I also wonder whether or not you believe that the music you are listening to is reflected in the game and its style?

Actually, in order to concentrate my thinking more on the creation of the game, and because it fits very well, I listen to an online game music radio in the background (GamingFM).

Second choice, classic rock.

Wow, BsBob! This was a great post and is likely to have a heap of people posting on it.

I listen to Linkin Park, Alien Ant Farm, Eminem, The Living End (they're Aussie, anyone heard of them other than me?) and various others. I mainly listen to punk music, and that tends to focus my energies on the game and work faster.

I forgot to post what I listen to!

My taste in music is wide.

I listen to Cake, Soundtrack of Our Lives, The Who, The Beatles, and The Hives mostly.

My favorite genre is what i like to call Scandanavian Punk Rock (The Hives, etc.)

Thanks for the praise Seth Big grin

Yes I have, but I'm Australian too so that doesn't mean much...

I.E. state, city, near (bigger town).

The Living End rule.

Honestly, I love music. It's like a part of me or something. My mommy used to tell me she'd slap the music outta me if I talked back to her. Ha ha ha!

Seriously, though, I collect anime soundtracks and such to listen to while I work on my games, because music can inspire you and give you ideas.

Well, that and an occasional Chevelle, Project 86, Skillet, East West, Supertones, Underoath, Pillar, P.O.D. doesn't exactly hurt either.

Actually, TLC, I know who Stavesacre is, except I'm having a hard time finding their CDs. I only have "Keep Waiting", `cause our band did that song when we went to Tarapoto, Peru.

Cool. I recognized most of the bands you just mentioned as well.

Yeah, Keep Waiting's a great song, but they have so many that are better, like Aquiesce, The Two Heavens, Rivers Underneath, and World to Wait. I think it odd that you can't seem to find them, as I've never had any problem. Shrug. You could always buy some at their website, or download MP3s...

I'm having trouble picking rock when I more prefer punk rock (P.O.D.), but I listen to rock (Stavesacre) more often. actually I really don't know very many punk rockers...

just to put more music into the mix I'd say my favorite bands are:
Ghoti Hook, Lifehouse, 24 Idaho, Creed, and just cause I'm that kinda of person my youth groups worship band (not the one I'm in of course)!

I like classical music, and as aethereal said, classic or progressive rock. Yes, Jethro Tull and other similar bands are excelent.
