Originally, Castle Paradox forums were only supposed to allow avatars that were made in OHR. However, things kinda got out of hand, and no one has drawn their own avatars. The idea was appealing to myself and the rest of the staff because it meant really creative, hand-done avatars that helped increase OHRer's skills and there would hopefully be a drop in really lame avatars. Like mine. ^_^;;
If you haven't guessed what the contest is by now, then I guess I'd better explain the details!

1. The contest is create your own avatar picture, but you must create it in OHR, and it must not exceed 100x100 pixels. You can use any part of OHR to create your sprite, and you don't have to do a full body shot. It can just be the face, or any other part of the body, if you like. You can also make your avatar out of more then one part, so piecing together is fine. Using a different palette on each part is fine too.

2. The avatar's design is completely up to you, but I suggest drawing your online version of yourself. For myself, I'll probably be drawing a knight in black armor. It can be anything you like, but remember the whole point is to draw your own unique avatar.

3. You MAY submit more then one entry. And any entry that isn't the avatar you plan on using for your own can be submitted to the Avatar Gallery for others to use. With your permission, of course.

4. The sprite can be animated using gifs. For a more detailed explanation of how to animate your sprite, send a PM to Misteroo.

5. Be creative, and have fun. I'd love to see plenty of wacky short OHR animations for all of you!

Oh, and the contest won't end on Monday, it'll end next Thursday, so you'll all have plenty of time to make your dream avatar!

I should point out I did try posting in the last contest's thread after CN's invitation to do so. But I've gotten a different error each time I tried that thread (and only that thread).

So, I'd be...?

My first entry is my current avatar. I'll make more, and the rest I make anyone can use, unless otherwise noted.

I'd be in... but you all should know the problems I've had recently. Though given how fast I'm usually able to do tiles and such, all I'd need is two hours. Yeah, provided my machine is back on its feet by wednesday, I'll be in. Count on it.

Blade of Random Violence!

*cough*

So I couldn't think of a good name. It's my avatar for now. It also looks much better when magnified to double it's normal size, which is very close to what it was like in the OHR editor. I'm aware there's no hilt, which I left out so the picture would focus on the blade.

It's 82 by 82, I believe.

My entry is a disgruntled scottsman. Among my many heratiges there is scottish blood. The hat he wears is actually similar to a hat I bought in Nova Scotia. The style is inspired by a former art teacher of mine.

Bow and Arrows

My second entry, which I like much better than the first. If you want to see the first, it can be viewed here:

I'm prepared for a bashing from CN, but...I will be unable to participate in this contest due to time issues. Seriously - the stuff I have to do in and out of school that aren't computer related combined takes up almost all my time. :\

As if you couldn't see it above...

<==================

Its Goby. Though I didn't put much work into it at all. As you might be able to tell, that is his 'old' battle and 'old' walkabout frames. I have new ones, though I don't remember where I put the game. Oookay... .
I am almost too late for this contest, It being Thursday at 5:14.
