|
|
My script is no longer responding to characters that i've typed. Its almost as if i've run out of character spaces (letters/numbers/spaces) because if I say, delete a space at the end of a line, then HssEd will allow me to type in one character.
I did receive an error message while typing which i'm sure the problem is but have no idea what it means:
RemotePad
Access violation at address 00499D60 in module 'HssEd.exe'. Read of address 009D00E8
If it means anything, the maximum amount of characters enabled is 68,067 on my script.
Has anyone else had this problem? I would really appreciate a solution. Thanks. |

This does not belong on the Plotscripting helpme board.
So my suggestion about opening it in Notepad and resaving it did not work? _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

Exactly. the RemotePad editor is nice, but it does have a few bugs. If you are having serious troubles, paste it in word and continue work there.
Actually, the only reasion I use RemotePad is for the built-in plotscripting dictionary...I drag the file into hspeak to compile (easier or something)
Sorry, off topic.
Anyway, yeah, try a different program. _________________ But enough talk, have at you! |

No, I meant open it in Notepad. Save it. And then continue work in Hssed.
That ought to fix any formatting erros I suspect it has. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

Nope, that doesn't seem to work for me. So am I basically stuck with writing in notepad from now on until James Paige figures out the solution to this bug? Oh well, I nuisance but not that big of a deal I guess. |

I wouldn't expect an update anytime in the next half year, if at all.
So its not just one file on which you get errors? If you open a new file and type something in that, is that fine? _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

Did you try redownloading? The problem sounds like your computer's fault. |
