Is anyone else doing this? My family is. Unfortunately "TV" now includes "computer" Crying so I won't be around for a while.

For anyone who doesn't know what this is, turn off the TV week is a week where you...Surprise! Turn off the TV and don't watch it for a week. It's got something to do with pollution and exercise and all that stuff. Feel free to post horror stories about it later...

Hmm... Heck, I don't even watch TV so no biggie for me (Haven't seen anything worth while since I was like... 7 years old :\). As for the computer though... I could do without it quite easily. But there's a problem in that, since I have a lot to be doing. The only game I play on my PC is FFXI, everything else is work related. Also, I'm starting a new semister tomorrow which involves computers. So... Nope, can't stop using this thing Raspberry!.

However, I find it quite odd something like this would be held during the winter. They want people to do exercise but where I live um... No. I'm sorry, but it's -50 celcius (-58 Farenheit for those who don't know) out there with wind chill with snow mounds up to my shoulders (From what I hear, some high school diploma exams were cancelled, and my brother had the whole week off because of the weather (Works for a building company)).

...So yeah... Why isn't this in the summer? :\

The only things I've seen on TV worth watching are practically anything on Discovery/NatGeo/History/TLC/the Public Broadcasting Channel/ and whatever channel it is that occasionally shows episodes of Road Rovers. And UPN for one hour on Wednesdays around Primetime(if that's any indication of what show I watch). Realistically, that adds up to about 3 hours of TV a week.

There just isn't anything that will really catch my attention anymore. Shoot, the don't even have Freakazoid anymore.

The only thing I watch on TV is MuchMusic (Which is like MTV except Canadian. MTV Canada barely is about music). I also watch That 70's Show. That's about it, I don't even watch movies, but I still watch a lot of MuchMusic, MuchMoreMusic, MuchVibe, and Black Entertainment Television (Okay, I am not black, but I am into Hip-Hop. Hey, it's not like I laugh at the jokes that a black guy makes. I am not a wigger.) So, I just watch Music Videos and That 70's Show.

Dude, MTV is barely about music. And, you're not a whigger if you laugh at black jokes. If you are, then, well, fuck you Chapelle's Show.

I've ceased watching TV after.. well, after I ceased to have access to a TV. It probably wouldn't be too hard for me to go a week without TV though...

A week without a computer is another question, but I don't believe in inpeding progress on any computer-related projects (OHR games, etc) for the sake of some stupid week-long "challenge" that has no productive purpose whatsoever.

I haven't watched TV in a long time, with the exception of one or two animes and that lousy Matrix Sequal. I spend more time on the computer. XD

I'd probably watch TV if I had one. But I'm online for like 10 hours a day and I wouldn't want to detract from that. Too much to do.

I only TV program I ever watch is The Simpsons. Also, my sister got a 2nd hand PS recently, so I occasionally play that.

If this whole thing is about Excersize and polution, then what is one week going to do? One week?! We can gain all of our polution and fat back in the week after!

Also, I for one usually just turn the TV on for color, or light, or sound so I don't feel like i am alone. Prepare for a dark secret of Leroy: If I am all alone in a room and I don't feel the presence of another person, I create one with my mind, and that person is usually out to get me. Neutral

So in conclusion... TV is good... very good... Please don't take the color away...

Leroy lives in a twinkie factory...
