-I think you all need a preview to see how the latest OHR PlotScripting technology is coming along.
-So heres some quotes from my discussion with Foofeynono (of Duhh forum fame) with interspersed screenshots from the actual near-finished product, only 20 minutes of production away from being released.

EmCee says:
best plotscripting ever written for the OHR:
My information minister goes on TV so he can say I wasn't found in the debris says:
?
EmCee says:
baby bob. No doubt
My information minister goes on TV so he can say I wasn't found in the debris says:
ah

EmCee says:
I figured out how to make the game way better
My information minister goes on TV so he can say I wasn't found in the debris says:
how?
EmCee says:
I'll show you

Transfer of "verycool.zip" is complete.

My information minister goes on TV so he can say I wasn't found in the debris says:
oooh
My information minister goes on TV so he can say I wasn't found in the debris says:
a lot cooler

EmCee says:
NEW FEATURES INCLUDE:
EmCee says:
*BEING TOTALLY COOL
*ESC KEYS NOW QUITS! IF YOU DON'T THINK ITS COOL, THEN YOU CAN $%#^#^#& GET OUT!

-Lets not forget the complex math routines that accurately draw objects in a nearly fully rotatable 3D enviroment

My information minister goes on TV so he can say I wasn't found in the debris says:
how smoothly does it rotate
EmCee says:
no rotating
My information minister goes on TV so he can say I wasn't found in the debris says:
oh

EmCee says:
now, using the new camera postitioning
EmCee says:
scroll to x = 27, y = 11
My information minister goes on TV so he can say I wasn't found in the debris says:
why?
EmCee says:
at this spot, there should be no trees in view
EmCee says:
and the new 'no. npcs vis' will agree, reading 0

EmCee says:
THEREFORE THERE ARE NO OBJECTS IN VIEW, YOU GOT THAT?!?!?!?!
My information minister goes on TV so he can say I wasn't found in the debris says:
Big grin

-Another fine example of a shot with 0 npcs on screen. Or does that read 100?

My information minister goes on TV so he can say I wasn't found in the debris says:
how can i tell theres no npcs?
EmCee says:
well
EmCee says:
besides looking at the screen (and ignoring any npcs that are definitly figments of your imagination)
EmCee says:
you can also read the 'no npcs vis' counter WHICH DEFINITLY DOES NOT LIE
My information minister goes on TV so he can say I wasn't found in the debris says:
its at 0

EmCee says:
note: the number that appeared in the corner is frames per minute reading

-I swear that image has not been doctored!

My information minister goes on TV so he can say I wasn't found in the debris says:
hitler on ice

EmCee says:
ha
My information minister goes on TV so he can say I wasn't found in the debris says:
HAHA!
EmCee says:
HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!111oONEONEONETWOTWOTWO

EmCee says:
I mucked up the math again, and now the objects aren't even on screen

-That's all folks, come back next week!

I'm confused...Is this a preview or a random sentences about how the game works? Could you make the post a bit clearer?

A 3D OHR game would be interesting though.

3d ohr nO way. the very basis or the graphic system ohr uses can't be 3D
it does use models it uses 8 freakin bit pics. I'm thinkin that was just a screen shotbuilt in a paint program...

but I could be wrong I'm a retarterd with plot scripting. Ha ha ha!

4-bit. Not 8.
And yes it is possible, I don't doubt it.

I don't doubt it either, considering "fake 3D" has been done on a calculator before, and all you get on that is black and white (even worse than the Game Boy, which had black, white, and two greys). But um, the conversation in your post is quite confusing, so can you please elucidate the information a bit?

Also, this was both horribly unfunny and stupid.

Pardon my failure to explain syntax to persons of lesser intelligence.

The '...' represents pauses in speech. You see, every now and then, it is necessary to pause during a sentence in order to signify thinking or stalling. You can ignore the '...', but all that it's there for is to make my posts more realistic.

Anyway, that's off-topic.

Volcanite, explain this. Did you actually develop a 3D system, or is this a poorly-executed joke?

Well, certainly this looks cool, for what I think it is. You didn't really explain it well, but if what you are trying to say is that the game is in a Semi-3D Format, then dude, you are good. I am trying to understand what is going on with the text and pictures, and I hope that this is not some lame joke made up and preformed, because that'll get you banned (I'm kidding. I am not sure.) I am not saying this isn't possible, because if you work it out, it probably is possible.

Look, if I pasted those images together in Paint, don't you think I would have made them a bit better and more 3D looking? And those are actually quotes, only edited slightly.

JSH, basically I started work on a semi 3D engine, and I put together a slideshow of how terribly its coming along, just to confuse you all. I'm not being very serious, nor trying to get laughs either.

Also, about that framerate, I would like to point out that thats on my P4 1.5GHz, at which the OHR runs at over 18 frames a second, not 10. So half it to get a rough estimate of how fast it'll run on your computer.

Hi SSalamanderr, haven't seen you round.

Cacti, if you pull it off, I will hate you with all of my envy. Raspberry!

Or, in other words, I'm waiting for the release. Happy

[EDIT AFTER SEEING THE IMAGES THAT WOULDN'T LOAD LAST TIME: That's it! I hate you now! Raspberry! ]

I guess a Fake 3d system could pull it off...or just adding depth and a werid camera angle to your maptiles. But as for true #d it goes betong ohr. Fer that you'll need 3d models not silly little pixel people

I've found a way to make a half-decent fake 3-d engine... the way to go is use the new command "set tileset" followed by a series of key checking commands... I'm not going to go into detail... but if anyone is remotely interested... pm me or something.

Cacti: yeah, I sort of got frusturated and lost interest in game design for a little while, but now I'm back to annoy you all.
By the way, I would love to see an actual preview of this 3d game. There's really only one picture there right now and I'd like to see more info (besides insane ramblings and stuff Really confused).
