I'm considering making a new game, but I want to run the idea past you people to see if anyone might be interested in playing it or if it's already been done before.
My idea is based on an ordinary young guy who is a bit of a trouble-maker. Okay, he's a really big trouble-maker. Anyway, he inadvertantly pissed off some major demon lords of another world, and ends up having to flee for his life as a result. The oppressed people of the demons' world see him being pursued and think he is their legendary savior who will defeat the demon lords and free them. The problem is that he has no idea about that, and pretty much is only concerned with surviving the wrath of the demon lords. The story is intended to be mostly humor based with a bit of seriousness for depth.
Does this sound interesting, or has it been done to death? I haven't been here in over 6 months and haven't played many games since about 3 years ago, so I don't know what the current preferrences and games are.

Of course it's been done before, but that doesn't mean it will be a bad game. It all depends on how you create it, Laven. Seriously, if you work hard enough on it, even the most hackeyed story can work for a game, and your basic premise for the plot needs a whole lot of filling in before it's ready. There are very few games out there with completely original plots. Oh, and I've moved this thread to where it's suppose to be.

It's been done before? I never heard of such a plot. Although it does sound funny. Heh. I am a little kid running around being chaced by demons, and I cause mischief where ever I go. I like that. Sort of sounds like home alone. You should be able to set traps or something.

I like it. If I haven't seen it, it's new to me, and so it should be new to others that haven't seen it done before either. CN was right too. You could come up with some original plot twists in thei somewhere. That's what makes most games great.

PS: How did the guy piss them off? Was he doing some kind of stand up routine, or something?
