You wake up laying on a straw mat. That in its self is inconceivable, as Prince of the Nine realms you've known nothing but comfort all your life. You look around and see that you are in a dungeon. You try to remember what happend last.
You where at your father's funeral. He was burried, your younger brother, Godric, gave the eulogy and then you were on your way to be crowned king
and then....nothing. You can't remember anything after that.
"Having fun brother?"
That voice belongs to Julian another youger brother of yours.
"Julian, why am I here?"
"Because Godric whants you here. And the King gets what he wants."
"Godric the King? But I am eldest with Gerard gone."
"Yes but father's death was just too much for you so right after the funeral you hung yourself in your chambers. Why there was a week of mourning after Godric found your body."
"I've been done here a week?"
"Well you certently smell like it. And now that your awake you can be executed!"

After this Julian leaves and then one of your sisters comes and gives you a dagger and your rose cape clasp. You escape and then try to win back the thrown. The game is currently called: Treacherous Crown. Let me know what you think.

I need some more detail before I can really say anything useful...

You search around the cell and find a hidden key and unlock the door. You can then make your way out of the dungeon and into the castle gardens. Once there you can find a group of monks come to pray for your soul to find peace in the next world.
You convince them to hide you and then they smuggle you out of the castle and to their temple. You hide inside the Temple of The Ninth Eye for three years training in the ways of battle and magic. Then when your training is complete you meet your brother Gerard. He tells you that Gadric has gone to far and that he has left his retreat to stop him. He asks you to join him and you accept. He tells you that before he dissappeared with his armed guards he hid all there weapons in the town of Chemlo. You both go there to collect them. Thats as far as i have gotten yet.

It's an opening, but I would want to see a much larger plot analysis before I make a judgement. The quality depends entirely on its usefulness to the overall plot.

What kind of idiot hides the key in the cell where the prisoner is?! Oh well. I like the idea rather than the usuall character letting you out and joining your party gig that everyone does. Very interesting. He comes back to life, only to die again, eh? Or I could be wrong... I might test for you!!? Big grin Crazyyyyyyyyyyyyy I am at the moment! Cafeen rush and all... (expected to last a couple days...) *rain clouds over Leroys future...* Good luck with it! (Tipwhip has to search for a key too, but your way is much more creative)

Its hidden in your cape clasp. Not in the cell.

Oh, I see. that's just funny then. Did someone slip it to you, or did you always have a spare hidden there?

Nice work. Very creative. Big grin

What motivates Godric to be evil, while you and your Sister are noble? Wouldn't you be of somewhat similar moral makeup, having been raised in the same family? If not, why not?

Why Julian on Godric's side? Why is anyone on his side?

What's stopping you from walking to the town square of the local city, and saying "Hey, look, I'm the king, and my brother's a creep!"

They'd see you, and know what was going on. Why can't you do that?
