since starting a LIVEJOURNAL is now FREE (see the news at http://www.livejournal.com/users/news/74165.html), LJ INVITE CODES are now OBSOLETE.

therefore, the THIRD PRIZE has to be changed. preferably into something that would cost me NO MONEY. any RECOMMENDATIONS?

(and btw, gilbert, please get a lj so your anonymous comments to my lj don't have to keep being anonymous. you don't have to actually post in the lj, just use it for commenting. i'm now turning off anonymous comments so that will be the only way you'll be able to comment in my lj.)

fair enough, thanks. then if no one has any objections? not everyone has a gamecube, of course, but i assume most would have a friend with one or something.

everyone else: 10 days remain! since gameplay is what will determine if you'll win, start making and testing out the gameplay as the first priority. graphics and music and dialogue can always be added at the last minute.

also, news: there is a contest on the-underdogs.com similar to this one, though there are no prizes and you can't use teams. you would get popularity though. thanks to friend/orchard-l for that info. that contest runs from dec 15 to something like january 26.

One more (probably) last question:
Naturally, you won't buy three grand prizes, but what of 2nd place, which consists only of reviews. If a team wins 2nd place, will all of the member's games be reviewed, or only an elected member? The rules said you wouldn't give multiple prizes, but I think in the case of reviews, most people likely won't have any released games anyway.

This just in...and this goes for you too Noshot. My mother has taken my computer to the person who upgrades my computers in order to make it faster and wipe out some of the files I have. I'm trying to get him to not delete my Human day entry (not to mention my other rpg files), but I dont know when I'll get the computer back. My point is that I am unsure if I will be able to meet the deadline. Sorry, Noshot, but this may take some time.

However, I have designed some maps on paper so they will be saved.

Leroy, in the future, could you not waste our time by posting something that clearly should have been PMed to NoShot? Not that hearing about the blow by blow account of your contest entry that probably won't be released isn't interesting, of course. Can I reccomend that next time you enter a contest where someone else is depending on you, you make multiple back ups of your file on disk? Emailing the game to yourself would have probably saved us all from your posting too.

I would not call that clearly directed to Noshot, but 50% directed to him and 50% directed to everyone else to let us know that he may not be able to meet the deadline. I see no problem in that.

december 26th -- the game must be given to me or harlock (or uploaded and a link sent to me or harlock) sometime before december 26th ends.
