it is seriously not half as good as inspiration's entry and doesn't deserve to be in a game where inspiration's monster would be, because it would just be there, sit, and look ugly XD

It's not going to sit there and look ugly. It's going to sit there and fight ugly by changing its defenses while your party tries to break its defenses, like you wanted, right?

EDIT: Just saw your second concept, and it's a lot better than the twin snakes.

Geez...No one even confirmed that my entry was even accepted.

And besides, its the gameplay that counts.

Speaking of gameplay...I can't seem to find any descriptions about your two bosses. Neutral

twin snakes? XD It was a snake with arms actually... But ya, the second turned out somewhat better, a little textured, but I really have no talent when it comes to shapes and all that. Ah well, I guess its possible to expect that some disgrunteled black rock could switch its defensive magical abilities... not so sure it could attack someone without using telekinesis on self though XD

EDIT:
I think it has more more potential than Magus itself because, well, you can just have 3 of these rocks working independant cycles of gates and you can't use spells on them all, 'cause that's a waste... possibly, they could even absorb that one said element instead of protect themselves against it... and yet keep on switching in reaction to spells against them. And of course, they need to use only the spells from the gate that is currently activated, so it turns out 2 or 3 of them would be a terrible pain.

EDIT2:

Only the 2nd image is valid, and um, the boss is pretty much what I just said up there, although I briefly mentionned the Magus idea earlier...

Darkmoor doesn't have elements, though monster that switches between physical and magical resistance is already planned.

Here, done in virtually no time with hardly any effort, is my totally unoriginal enemy:

You should definitely come up with gameplay for Slimer. I definitely want to see this thrown into the game.

Haha, I made it in 20-30 minutes waiting for my girlfriend, without any idea of what it'd come out like Razz I'll improve him later if you really like it that much

But as per request, I'mma come up with a little gameplay real quick...
Gnanglbarf (his filename), or whatever you want to call him, is really not such a bad fellow. Kinda goofy, but as far as anyone would be able to tell he a fat-ass motherfucker wanting to eat everything. He prefers to just lick really, but if you've ever been licked by a tongue bigger than you you'll be pretty freaked out. Frozen solid. I do wonder if he sometimes accidentally eats people, though. That'd be a pickle. Carrying on, he likes to play with folks too, but being a huge bastard he is he tends to hurt a bit, but maybe he could know some sense back into his playmates too. He doesn't feel much pain himself, what with that big fat mucus layer, but when that's eroded down I should think he'd sooner run away, but if he ever returns he'd be in a helluva bad mood.

Alright, that wasn't gameplay. So sue me.

Can I provide the gameplay for that one? Because an idea immediately sprang to my mind as soon as I found that it looked like this.

According to the rules, you can provide gameplay independently of graphics and vice-versa. In other words, go ahead and provide as many battle designs as you want, though they may not end up paired with the monsters you had in mind.

Well, based on what I just thought of...

In DOOM, the Cacodemon has a lot of HP and its attack can cut off 1/4th of your health, but it has a high "pain rate", meaning that if you shoot at it, it will flinch and stall for a second so you can shoot at it again.

The monster will be similar, except in an RPG, it would start out with high speed and will be able to strike quickly and painfully. The way to slow it down is to strike it with a physical attack which would lower its speed, but a physical attack won't do much damage. After attacking it several times, the player must decide when to attack with stronger abilities and heal the party, but soon the monster will recover its speed and the pattern restarts.

It's not the coolest boss in the world, but I'm sure you can balance it well, especially since I didn't try to explain how to make it this time.
