sorry I took a while to answer, so, multiple entries... hmmm...
what do you mean? like, you think you have enough time to make more than 1 game for this contest? O.O
and I don't think so, because it's unfair for others, some will have double or more chances of winning than those who only had time to do one game, sorry, but only one entry is preferable...

Wait, so what you're trying to say is that it's sometimes, maybe all right to submit more than one game? T_T _________________ Look back and you've already lost.
Look forward and embrace the trials of tomorrow. |

| I'm not going to join. I am going to wait until I get better at plotscripting, and I would rather make a better standard RPG than jump right into creating a completely new battle engine. |

I might consider attempting the CTBS again.
If anyone remembers my last attempt at that.
I'll do some tests when I get home and see if it's pratical. |

1. "Feel the difference"? Between what and what?
2. The site has a lot of broken images, missing content, etc. I realize you're just putting this up as a template of sorts, but it still reflects poorly.
3. The utility you're using is clearly meant to create webpages for small businesses (hence the address at the bottom, etc.). Is this really what you want? Also, you mentioned that it is a 10-day trial. Do you plan on buying the full version? You're not going to be able to edit the site after that otherwise.
4. Remind me why you feel it's necessary to have a site. Why will people go there rather than to CP?
I'm not trying to provoke you. If you get defensive, expect this to be the last post I make in this thread. _________________

It literally terrifies me to see MADSoft advertised as a professional game development company instead of a modest indie game development blog or site.
If you're going to recruit people and be a job interviewer, you will have to be team project manager (which you are, of course), and you will need these sorts of things:
- Design documents to sort out every detail of the game so that any questions on how you want it done will be narrowed down to minute issues.
- Excellent visualizations of the graphics style you want to achieve, even if a pixel artist's portfolio doesn't match that. It may also be a good idea to make many sketches of backgrounds they are going to make, so they will have a general idea of the geography/architecture of the area the player is in, and they can work from there. This can be part of the design document under its own section.
- Similar to above for music and sound.
- Provide some meat. Don't just hand out the back of the game box and hope people believe the paragraphs that reek of b.s. If you want to really show your games, show us what you have done with Final Fantasy XLR, and show us what it is really like. Show us screenshots of battles, maptiles, how you pulled off the LP system, and give us a little idea that you actually pulled off some of the things that you claim.
And for goodness sake, stop using licensed game names. If you want to create a game that is similar to Final Fantasy, then go ahead (because that is what the OHRRPGCE engine does BY DEFAULT), but don't use the names of Final Fantasy, Metroid Prime, Grand Theft Auto, whatever the heck you are trying to recreate, because that shows uncreativity and will end up being compared to real deals in more ways than one, even if that is not what you intend. You're making an FF game set in an even more Sci-Fi future, so that's your game, so you should make a name based off of it (don't use Star Ocean either). |

ok, I don't want to get defensive or anything, I was just asking to see the design is good, yes, when I get the full version, the website will still be updatable...
I mentioned above whether it was worth updating, that means I didn't put any images or anything in it yet, I will if it's worth keeping.
I'll uplaod images and screenshots as soon as I get the full version, and for the LP system, it's not that complicated, just so you know, it's:
Get Item: 1 LP / monster,
buy license at License shop for #LP
then, buy armor/weapons/accessories/magicks/techniques/etc... from shop with Gil + Licenses.
also, just a little note, the list of games you saw, weren't all the games I'm working on, only the ones with "(in progress)" next to them, the others were just old projects and cancelled projects...
and for the "Licensed names" if you go on the CP game list, you'll see that I'm not the only one, there's over 10 Final Fantasies and many different kinds of games with Licensed names, BUT I guess I'll change the name of FF XLR, I was mostly using the names to be able to include chocobos and (my favorite) moogles, but I guess I won't be able to... Oh well...
So, thanks for the advice people, but all I wanted was to make an HTML site because not everyone likes flash, oh, and one more thing, the adress and phone number in the bottom can be removed, I just didn't notice it, lol.
I also want to say that I'm not making MADSOFT game a pro company or anything, the whole "Join the team" thing is mostly for help on games, that's all, when someone joins, all I do is send them what I want (depending on what they decide to do, music, grphics, etc...) and send them the game with it so that they can see what going on for themselves.
[EDIT]: "feel the difference" is just a random slogan I made up, it come with whole header anymation thing... _________________ http://www.madsoftgames.net/

| Quote: | Get Item: 1 LP / monster,

See, your post is a lot better than your website about this.
But still, don't wait until the 'full version' to post better information and screenshots that say, "Hey. My project is actually alive." Do it now, then your project can actually feel like it has started.
If you have dead projects that no longer exist: Don't list them. Only list projects you are actually working on. Listing so many names of projects you aren't even working on makes you look like you're a 12 year old that thinks that he can just pump out these games, when in reality you're probably going to get out 1 full game every 5 or 6 months
As for HTML, I think it would be best to actually write the HTML code. You seem to be an expert at plotscripting (I hope), and HTML is even easier than that, so I don't see any need for a "website maker".
Also, you should admit that MADSoft is more of a label for the games you create, not an actual "organization" of any kind. And your "recruitment" shouldn't really be a recruitment method. It should be "If anyone would like to contribute <list needed items>, you are welcome to do so." Somebody may play a demo, like it, and find that there's some music that might be better suited, so they make the music for you.
You could even list "suggestions for improvement" as a contributive item, as in "I think your dialogue needs a little work. Here are some suggestions", or "Your mountains look funny, let me give some advice and point you to Pixelation (or some other Pixel art forum)."
This doesn't mean people will rush to you, but it is a lot more human in format and doesn't make you look like you are putting yourself in a box that makes you look like a living advertisement. |

Ok, cool, thanks Newbie_power for all the advice, I'm fixing the website right now, and I'm going to fix the list, the "join now" and I'm gonna upload images, and yes, I know that scripting your own HTML is better, but I'm kindof too lazy, lol
so, now, people, please make this thread back to it's original topic, so it doesn't get locked or anything, thank you.
