By that logic, thieves were not in FFI either, since the FFI thief couldn't steal and the later ones could. Also, fighters were not the same, because they didn't get the "cover" skill. And the fact that the white mage couldn't summon means they weren't in FFI either. Oh, and the black mage's "focus" skill wasn't there, so they were a totally different class.

Let me point out one thing, though. Unoiginal story != bad. Presentation is what matters. If an old, rehashed-to-hell story is retold really, really well, the story is usually still really, really good, even if it has been used a million times before. However, based on Fighter's manner of writing, I don't have much faith in a well-presented story on his part.

you can put that idea to ease when I
write a story I write it well and let
me add that each senario you pick
is a different story if you remember
in final fantasy 1 the characters had
no story, in this they do.

so you bet my games story
(besides the part about chaos) is
original, but remember there
are alot of people who made
final fantasy rip offs but they made
it original and made it good.

they make the character stories original and
make the main story original even though it is
the same as final fantasy they still try to steer
away from that idea and change it as much as
they can without makeing it totaly different.
