Just thought of another aspect to all of this:
Should SA's persist when a hero dies? Ideally, this would be a general game bitset. |

Welllllllllll.... the way I used reflect the other day, I cast reflect on myself, then I cast a couple of heavy damage spells on myself (for no good reason).
Reflect selected a random enemy.
But, usually, it does go back to the caster (as though there was no spread damage divide) _________________ A broken clock is still right twice a day. |

How about a 'weak' or 'fear' SA? Again, the register would essentially be a timer for how long the effect should last. Characters with this status affliction have all of their stats other than HP and MP cut in half (maybe count out speed as well). Better yet, the percentage drop in stats is variable, chosen by the game-maker somewhere in custom (it seems like the more we request, the more that we may be wanting a whole separate 'edit status afflictions' menu in custom, where we can choose things like how reflect works).
PS: Has anyone thought about my problems with the simplified 'confuse' SA that KM requested? Or the 'zombie' SA? |
