That sounds like a good idea. I'm all for chance. Minnek could enter for a chance to work with me. And he might have to work against me, which would be fine too. That makes things interesting. Sounds like fun.
I am definitely considering this.
Here's the story: Minnek and I were going to meet again next weekend, and I'd almost certainly be able to compete in this at that time. Last time he came over, last weekend, we nearly finished the 48 hour game (Unfortunately, we couldn't finish because he couldn't stay the second night due to a silly family vacation the next day). I'd feel pretty comfortable if it were around next weekend's time, the time of our next scheduled meeting. Of course, you don't have to wait for yours truly. Though, it may give some of the 48 hour contestants some extra time to recover from that contest and plan a time to do the next one if you do.
One question:
| hireintelligence wrote: |
4. When the contest begins you must begin to make a game, you will have 24 hours to work on it before you must send it to me.
5. On the following weekend I will send the game to your teammate, who will have 24 hours to work on it before sending it back to me
6. The weekend after that I will send the game back to the original Author who will have a furthur 24 hours to complete it.
7. You will then have to post your completed game for download and the general Castle Paradox public will have a week to vote for their favourite.
|
Doesn't that mean the first person has an extra day? So, the team woud have to decide who needs the most time for their work, right? Isn't it more fair to give both people the same number of days? Maybe I just read wrong...
Ok, that was more like 5 questions-- '3, sir!'
Right. 3 questions... _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...

I see your dillema, but you misunderstand.
I should have stated more clearly that both you and your teammate will start a game each, then swap, then swap back.
Heres a crappy ASCII diagram to try and help you understand until i draw a better one:
EDIT: because I'm to stupid to put my diagram up the ASCII one will remain.
A=one team members game
B=the other team members game
A B week one
\ /
/\
/ \
B A week two
\ /
\/
/\
/ \
A B final week
So there are two games per team.

Longebane, would you enter if I were to delay the competition another week?
And LeRoy, what would it take to convince you?
I you two entered then we would have 3 teams which would be a nice amount, not too many, not too few.
PS Happy birthday |

What do you mean...A and B grade in this competition? what are you going to do, mark everyone C+ and down? Or do you mean something completely different? _________________ Dilbert's Dog: "I'll bet you $20 that you don't like giving money to people for no absolute reason."

You don't want to know what it will take, honey.
Edit: That sounds like a Minnek answer to me. Better change my passy. Righto!
Edit Edit: More seriously, I am already considering competing, so don't worry about convincing me any further. If you build it, we will come. (Minnek and I, that is) _________________ Planning Project Blood Summons, an MMORPG which will incinerate all of the others with it's sheer brilliance...
