I agree, drawing up and elaborating their votes is quite time consuming for alot of people, a very regular vote would necessarily be an a lot smaller event (did we really have a monthly vote back in the days of OHR Monthly?)
I'm a little surprised that even with the fairly large number of voters, the list still tapers out to 2 voters per game at the bottom. I wish we could vote for more than 10 games. Maybe have everyone vote for games that didn't make that top 30 list. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

Hard to believe nowadays, isn't it? See for yourself...

Interestingly, the top 30 in the day was not restricted to released games. So you'd see Destiny Calls, NHNT, and Way of the Wizard on the list even though only the playtesters had actually played the game.
An unfortunate side effect of monthly voting is that it became very trend-driven. This is especially visible in the second issue, where Magnus and NPC_TAG make the top 30 because voters thought it'd be funny. Generally, the trend was toward the same five games, though occasionally a new release would get a huge burst of votes.
Of course, games were released much more often back then, even if the overall quality was much lower. _________________

I think it's funny you quoted me as "Xerian". Guess that names holds better for you than Onlyoneinall. I think adding the quotes really helped it from being more than just a list. It gave reasons as to why the game is on that list.
Edit: Voting order didn't matter for the games? I thought it did. _________________ http://www.castleparadox.com/gamelist-display.php?game=750 Bloodlust Demo 1.00

Voting order did matter. I just didn't post any scores. |

This is one of the best-made top 30 I've seen. Using quotes from the voters was a fantastic idea. I really enjoyed it! Look forward to the next time we do this. _________________ But enough talk, have at you! |
