The windows version of custom and game both crash after playing MIDI music for about a minute. Does anyone else have this problem?

I presume there is some property of My Documents that makes it not show up in the directory list. Does the folder have any attributes set, like read-only or hidden? Can anyone else reproduce this problem? It doesn't seem to happen for me with W98, but W98 doesn't have all the user stuff.

Also, I think it was you having problems with the sprite editor hanging? I fixed a problem with the flood fill yesterday which should solve that. If you want to avoid it, rather than get the last nightly build, then the problem only happens when you fill an area with the colour it already is (eg fill a yellow area with yellow).

In Windows XP, your "My Documents" folder is actually locked off from other users, as long as you have a passworded account. Legacy programs usually don't have a problem with seeing the folder, as long as your in your account they think it's any other folder.

While that doesn't answer why it's showing up in DOSOHR but not WINOHR, I thought you'd like to know what XP does.

I'm sorry about causing those few extra headaches. If you plan on making a bitset about the percentage attacks, I can definitely wait until the next update, right now the focus really should be on making Serendipity stable. I just wanted to apologize for being the hungry mouse.

Except I don't like milk.

Wow. I run off to make my senior project on RPGToolkit, and a week later, a OHR update comes out. WTF?

EDIT: Oh yah I'm just wondering why I can't find a MyDocuments sub folder in the windows versions of custom...

I've noticed that too, some folders not showing up. The folders in question were most of the subfolders of my ohr folder (which is a copy of the source code). As far as I could tell, none of the folders had any special attributes, and they were not read-ony or hidden or any of that. :\

However, that was on a Windows XP machine. The same folders on my primary Windows 2000 machine do show up.

I noticed a bug with the "CANNOT TARGET ENEMY SLOT #" bitsets. If you select a target and that target is killed before the hero can execute the attack, it is possible for that hero to attack an enemy in a slot that shouldn't be targetable. Just giving you the heads up.

Can you please download http://hamsterrepublic.com/ohrrpgce/archive/ohrrpgce-binary-win-nightly.zip and test some of the other sound backends? Test all three of:

game-fb2-native.exe
game-fb2-allegro.exe
game-fb2-sdl.exe

and let us know which of them crash after playing MIDI

also, what kind of crash are you seeing? Error message? Program closing silently? some kind of lockup?

Could you tell bugzilla so we don't forget?

game-fb2-sdl.exe is the only one I can use. the allegro one says I'm missing some sort of allegro file and the native one is the one that crashes. It displays the typical windows "We're sorry this application has to close blahdy blahdy blah" thing that almost any windows program does when it crashes. the sdl version works perfectly, though. I'll just stick to that.
