In addition to pylon construction, there is also the "Sand Box" foundation invented in ancient egypt. Essentially it is a boat-like foundation that "floats" in the sand.

These are small scale samples of a couple different terrain types that FOTT will probably have.

The mighty Droze live in a hazy, overcast landscape, complete with lava baths, jagged pillars, and ferocious fissures.

Bird's eye view... Although I doubt many birds live here.

The Kentle live in a murky, mucky morass. Since they love to do the "Kentle wheel" every place they go, God has graciously sculpted some ramps and half pipes into the landscape for optimum fun.

The Igigi are the Dragon-like race on Jur. Although their wings can only glide due to a devastating disease, they have very little trouble traversing the deep ravines and jumping the canyons that fill their territory.
