Top OHR Songs, Soundtracks, and Composers
Here is a rough draft of the rules and regulations for this contest or whatever you want to call it. Let me know what you guys think.
Category I – Best Song(s)
-Must be original and made for use in an OHR game
-You can nominate your own songs, as long as they were made to use in
the OHR
-Up to three nominations per person
Category 2 – Best Soundtrack
-Must be from an OHR game
-Can be ripped, original, or a little bit of both
-You can nominate your own game
-Up to three nominations per person
Category 3 – Best Composer(s)
-Votes in this category should focus on work that the composer has done for OHR games exclusively
-You can nominate yourself
-Up to three nominations per person
General rules:
-After you’ve made your nominations, you may not change them.
-After you’ve submitted your votes, you may not change them.
-You should submit as much information with your nominations as possible. For example, a nomination such as:
That song that sometimes plays in that game
…is not accepted and should be more like:
Best song
Normal Battle Music – Vikings of Midgard – Composed by Moogle1
-Nominations will begin on Monday October 1st, and last until Sunday, October 14th. During this time, I will keep a master list of all nominees. I will update the song nominee list daily and add links to the specific songs. I will update the soundtrack nominee list daily and add links to the respective games. I will also attempt to compile a sampling of songs of each composer nominated for reference.
-Voting will begin on Monday, October 15th and last until Sunday, October 28th. At this time you should make use of the master nominee list and decide what songs/composers/soundtracks to vote for. Each person is allowed nine totals votes, but should not exceed three votes per category. Voting will take place via PMs that you send to me.
-The size of the nominees that have votes will determine the length of the ending slots (Top 5, 10, 15, etc…)
-Results will be shown in the next November’s issue of Hamsterspeak.
Working on the official contest page as we speak... _________________ MOCBJ Software - My Games

Lose the lens flare.
I'm not sure why this needs its own page (I'd think the CP forums would suffice), but you're the organizer. _________________

Done.
Personally, It is just easier for me to keep track of things and make updates if it is in web format. The bulk of the stuff for the awards will be done via this board, but the nominations will be posted on the website.

Done.
Any other suggestions for games that have good soundtracks or composers would be fantastic. Right now I just have two weak lists. _________________ MOCBJ Software - My Games

Interesting. Well, I guess I'll take the time to upload my other songs tomorrow sometime, and maybe start listening to some of these... _________________ My first completed OHR game, Tales of the New World:

Well, technically nominations do not begin until tomorrow, as I have yet to iron out all of the details for this thing. However, if you are nominating your game just for best soundtrack, then all I could use is a link to your game. A list of songs or composers would only be neccessary if you were nominating a single song or a composer within your game. _________________ MOCBJ Software - My Games

CP went down for a month, as I recall. Meatballsub tried to keep it going on SlimeSalad before he realized that all of the songs up for grabs were hosted here. _________________
