Several RPG Makers, bonus assets and games are available in this week's Weekly Humble Bundle:
https://www.humblebundle.com/weekly
If you bought all those separately you'd pay more than $370.

Unfortunately mostly Steam-only versions, so not for me.

That is cool!

I don't think I would use the word "Enemy" :)

That weekly sale page also linked to an indie game making contest being held this month with a number of large prizes:
http://contest.rpgmakerweb.com/
Might be of interest to people around here! It's not restricted to RPG Maker (you can use any engine), there's no theme, games must be complete, there are separate categories for RPGs and non-RPGs, and you should not have started on your game before May 29th. The judges for the contest also won't evaluate more than the first hour of the game.

"Rival" seems a touch more fitting, no?

I wouldn't say rival either.
Cause that means we're losing.

Their our rival like the OUYA is XBox's rival.

Pro Tip: We're not Xbox in that scenario.

Bah, OHRRPGCE is much better than RPG Maker except for the lack of assets. =p

I never knew that RPG Maker sold all kinds of asset packs to its users. That's not the business model I expected.

The comparison I would use is Karaoke Bars vs. those guys who "produce a music video" for "talented kids" on "Youtube". One of us is a public service, letting friends live it up in a supportive and fun environment. The other one exploits peoples dreams to make a quick buck.

Protip: We're not the ones who can blame ourselves for "Friday" becoming a thing.

I just recently mentioned that one on RMN as one of the best intentionally bad games there are (well part 3 anyway).
