I'm finally going to join the community, team. I know that it's sort of dead but I like it. I just want to say that I'm a huge fan of the OHRRPGCE and I've been using it for about 8 years. It's my favorite RPG maker of all time... well the one I'm the most familiar with.

I haven't released any games on the web, but I'm working on the biggest one this engine will ever see. It's been a project in the works for about 4 years. It's really confidential but I promise to release it when it is complete.

other than that, I want to converse with the other lead designers and fans for this engine to make my game the best it can be.

Hello, thebradshaw. Welcome!

Sounds like a big project! Do you have any screenshots to share yet?

Hey thebradshaw welcome to the community!
I noticed that you said that "it was a bit dead", if you mean the community then you should check out the other forum Slime Salad. I think that this place will liven up again next time Inferior Minion updates the place.

Cool, welcome!

So you're going to release it finished, no demos? That's good to keep you going, rather than losing momentum after you release a demo. But... what is it?!

Working on a game for 4 years isn't too uncommon around here though :)

Working 4 years on a game is actually admirable and not common here at all.

More common is "I say I'm making an epic game and then disappear after 1 week or drop the project because I got bored of it."

Yes I should have said that releasing a game (normally just a demo, after having finally given up on finishing) 4 years after starting seems common, though noone works on it continuously. Charbile said that even Sword of Jade (famously 5-6 years in total) was mostly created in the last several months.

Sticking to it is admirable.

I have an idea for you, and this makes a great game:
Allow the player some interactive freedom! Make Npcs not "boring"
or "unimportant". The point of random npcs is to amuse the player
and keep them going through the repetition (in my opinion), so have
some fun making random sidequests!
