That sounds like fixed precision arithmetic. It's not necessary that the fractional part is a whole number of bits. Just count yourself lucky that you have 32 bit integers! Back in the days of 16 bit hamsterspeak, 16 bits wasn't really enough for both fractional and whole part for some calculations, so I sometimes split a value across two variables... yuck!
You rolled your own sine/cosine routines for boulderbeast (rather than using mine), right? I think you explained this before. I had to do that nasty 32-bit-fixed-point-arithmetric-in-a-16-bit-language for that. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

Ew.
Two variables.
Oh hey, I have a friend who seems keen on the OHR engine, and he's wondering about custom battle systems.
Any idea how soon/never implementing custom game math will be? _________________ Working on rain and cloud formation |

Game math? Not sure what you mean. Maybe more customisable damage calculation? If so, I've been meaning to add add more (builtin) attack damage options; maybe it'll finally happen in the next few months. Scriptable damage will be part of battle scripting. Battle scripting, I don't know when, but probably not soon. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

I thought I remembered James saying that all the math and equation would be customizable in the OHR's glorious potential future.
Maybe I'm crazy?

Hahah. It's waiting on script interpreter improvements. The good news is that those are getting ever closer... _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |
