OK, I should hopefully release at least a minigame or two this time, but it's highly unlikely that I'll get my last Gameathon demo-ready: HS is still missing arrays :( And I want to spend more time on the engine than on games.
If you're disappointed with the number of judges you have, I'll volunteer. _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

It's not too late to decide you want to judge! I'd like to have at least five judges. _________________

Hey, it would be really nice if we could get a complete list of the games that need judging. I don't know how to find all the games that have been made since the start of the contest, since school took me out of the OHR scene for awhile in February. _________________ "I think civility flew out the window the second I found the lawnmower. Reminder: One week left to release all of your awesome games. Do it.

Don't worry about this. I'll compile a list for the judges. If you want to get a leg up, play some of the games that you know were released recently, such as Tightfloss Maiden. _________________

I decided not to aim for the contest deadline. I might be able to complete and release my game within a few days afterwards instead (warning: I'll probably turn out to be a perfectionist or will just slack off). Actually releasing a complete game would be much more statisfying.
Anyway, I'm actually posting to ask about guidelines to the judges for judging re-released games. Are we meant to judge the game as it is, or judge the improvements made to the game? For example, I suppose I would have to play through all the existing Timpoline levels (I didn't get through them) and score the game based on the new ones? Same case for OHR House 3 and OHR House: Heroes. And, are we judging them on a 0-2 scale and capping at 1 point, or scoring them on a 0-1 scale? _________________ "It is so great it is insanely great." |

To make things easiest on the judges, please just apply the 0-2 scale for all games. I'll apply the caps as necessary.
The 0-2 scale is discretionary, but it should be pretty intuitive: 0 is for games that were a waste of your time, 2 is for games you enjoyed, and 1 is somewhere in between.
Remember that you're only required to play each game for 10 minutes. If you want to play it longer, by all means go ahead, but remember that judging doesn't have to be a time-consuming process. I'd like to have all the votes by the end of the month.
Here is I think a full release list from the beginning of the contest until now. I forget if the deadline was the beginning of today or the end of today, but if it was the former, I'll give everyone a day's grace period.
Slime Salad
Super Concentration Headache Battle Warrior by me (R)
Galaxy Arms by Chenzi (R)
OHR House Heroes - Week Six by RMZ (R)
Test of Normality by beau_rl (New)
The KER-saders by Spoonweaver (New)
The Long Journey Home by Camdog (New)
OHR House 3 - On the Plantation by JSH (R)
The Wizard's Bomb by Camdog (New)
The Ritual by Camdog (R)
Tim-Tim "The Mighty Gnome" by Spoonweaver (New)
Spoonweaver by Spoonweaver (New)
Timpoline by me (R)
Castle Paradox (omitting duplicates)
Midorime by Buni Pickney (New)
The Quest for the Bone by ringthehat (New)
Tightfloss Maiden by Pepsi Ranger (R)
Olmin's Game by the_dude257 (New)
Unfortunately, CP doesn't have a way to see all games that were uploaded since a certain date, so I'm not sure if there were any re-releases exclusive to CP. It would help if IM could confirm this list. _________________

Yes and yes. All the judges need to do is give me a 0-2 score for all the games on that list.
(edit) and a best of show pick, don't forget about that _________________

this doesn't seem to be downloadable, so I don't think it should be on the list.

Hi Moogle,
I've confirmed the list based on CP's database. As you probably figured out, you can sort games by Date Added/Updated on the Game List Search page. After adding a game entry, the only action which triggers an update to that date is uploading a file. At that point, the text changes from "Added [date]" to "Updated [date]"
I'm glad to see such a large turn-out.
Cheers,
~IM _________________
