I don't know if this is known or not, but on FFH (Normal Type) when I try to make an ANTHRO FIGHTER, it will not give me the name character option, but just send me to the game instead.

Is this known? What do I do?

You should continue until you regain control of the character, bring up their status screen and keep hitting [enter] until it allows you to rename the character. Should this fail, there's not really much you can do. Maybe begin with a different character? The other classes are usually much stronger to begin with.
