Been working on a novel of sorts. Here's some concept work of the main lady.



She's the delusional one of the small group. Her psyche is scarred from past events. But even though her comments often don't make sense at first, she has this truth and sadnes sin her words.

This picture dosent look that different than some of my other stuff.

But actually I'm proud of that.

This is actually done totally freehand with a Wacom tablet I got for my birthday. Its been about a week and I've gone form sad stick drawings to just as good as anything I've done on paper.

And this is the first coloring job I've done with layers.

That's right all my other stuff I managed to do one one, countem' ONE layer.

So now that my old best is my new average, hopefully I can exel in my craft.

Note: Yes she does know its raining and no she's not retarded, she's thinking.

She looks really flat, like I can tell there's supposed to be structure to the face and everything. But she looks kinda inpreportionate there, and her arms and legs look like they could be done more preportionate and better. If you didn't say she was a girl, I woulda never believed she was...

Her chin looks very weird, probably because she has none. It looks like it was sand papered off completely.

I get what kinda proportion you're trying to get. Personally, i have trouble getting that angle as well.

There isn't anything wrong with the chin itself, it's more of the rest of the face. Her cheekbone should be a little sharper, as so should her nose (try putting that upper line more at a 45 degree). Also, if you move her mouth and that lip line underneath a bit higher, you'll have more a definition of a chin looking upwards, rather than a deformed chin looking forward.

But seriously, good job not drawing yet another woman with enormous breasts wearing a wet t-shirt in the rain.

However, Just for the lulz, that can be saved for version 2.0.
