I am offended, annoyed, outraged, and disgusted by the content of your posts.

It's funny you say that. Especially being that you went on to say...

Quote:
You can burn a man for his philosophy; this has been done for generations, and shows that a society at least understands what is important. What is wrong is to say that his philosophy doesn't matter, and say that he is entitled to his opinion. Every man's opinion is important, for the good reason that it is his opinion. If he didn't think it was right, he wouldn't hold it. You can say I'm crazy, stupid, and arrogant for claiming to be a prophet; but you can't convince me that I'm not. I'm not sorry for annoying or offending you, and I won't expect you to be sorry for annoying or offending me.

This is a double standard. You're coming 'round, telling us that we're evil and you can't deal with that, but faced with criticisms of the evils you put forth, defend yourself by calling us intolerant. There's something wrong here.

Quote:
Also, I disagree...that "religeon opposes science;" Pagan religeon does that; Atheist religeon does that; Christianity in general, and Catholocism in particular, has been the main force that drove science forward over the past fifteen hundred years.

You are hilarious! Absolutely hilarious!
The pagan Greeks and Romans did a lot for science, mathematics especially. And I don't know if you've noticed it, but Christianity, especially in the last century, hasn't been so buddy-buddy with science, being that science isn't so willing to give up the truth of its findings to accommodate faith. a truer phrase would be "faith opposes science" because the two are polarized concepts. Faith is taking something at its word, while science demands the thing to stand up to logic and evidence.
And never call Atheism a religion, unless you're referring to a specific one like the LaVeyan Church. We're not so organized as you think, that's kind of the point.
Also considering Sir Isaac Newton played for the other team (he wrote a lot more on alchemy and the occult than he ever did about physics), and Copernicus and Galileo were really only Catholic in name, being it was a time you couldn't function in society otherwise.

And honestly, do you really expect us to buy all this third-person speech you're pulling? Just because you've gotten a new account doesn't mean you're someone else, that you can make a new first impression, or that the past is moot. Though honestly, seeing where this is going, we're prolly gonna wish we could've just stuck with the first one.

You'd have waited a very long time for Hitler never actually did the deed himself. That's the one thing about being a mastermind... they always seem to get someone else to do something for them.

Anyway, normally I stay out of religious arguments except when I feel the need to correct the lampooner on what religion actually says. (In case you wonder, I'm Baptist.) But this... this has just been ripped apart in so many horrid ways. And the official OHR Missionary's already been pulled in...

I guess I should remove myself from this... You're a RONIN (a masterless, outlaw-ish samurai) Catholic... your views are bound to stray from the other Catholics. Though seriously... this thread makes me... look at it and... say "What?"

What?

Come on, is this really your argument? It's impossible to prove that anything doesn't exist, so, by your own admission, belief an any god (or anything, really) is just as compelling as believing in your own choice of god (which is to say, not compelling at all). You can't disprove the existence of invisible unicorns either, after all. Generally, it's a good idea to have at least one reason to believe in something.

Ronin Catholic wrote:
I was focusing so much on Christianity and Atheism that I forgot about the other two religeons I know all too well; Agnosticism and Gnosticism.

Are you intentionally being a jerk here? There are tons more religions than what you mentioned (and all of those examples other than Christianity are more philosophies, really).

Guh, this post is doubly infuriating because, while I want to take issue with your patently ridiculous statements, this isn't really the place to have these kind of discussions. I know you believe god lead you to preach here, but its inappropriate and it isn't going to work. I'd suggest you look deep inside yourself, ask if it's really god asking you to post this or just an over-inflated sense of self worth, and then gracefully take your leave.

edit: It's religion. With an I. religIon.

I am sure it was pointed out here already, but by reading couple of your posts, I can easily say that ronin/nathan, its people like you who make other Christians look bad. First of all, if you are going to make a point stick to it. Games are for entertainment. If you don't like a certain game, don't play it. Why in the world did you play barely legal b*****, knowing for a fact that it has sexual content? I mean the title itself suggests sex. Second of all, if you take any game seriously, you need a reality check man. Whats portrayed in a game should stay in the game. Play and forget, thats my motto.

If you are going into the mud you will get dirty.(hope you understand the meaning of this saying.)

And with that, I'm done reading this thread. I don't have the patience left to read every novel of a reply this kid writes.

Bena, don't say this if you're going to reply two minutes later.

I'm debating with myself why you bother argue. You could simply flame the crap out of the boy and when he leaves start discussing. None of you hardly know much about what you're talking about, but at least you don't make religion look bad, even you who oppose it, so much as ronin.

You sure? In the cases of Fenrir and PHC talking about what is or is not in their own games (and where it came from), I'd think they'd know exactly what they're talking about. Moogle knows what he's talking about, and he's got more right to biblically correct someone than I do. I know perfectly well what I'm talking about (though I've neglected to really SAY anything in this thread).

Ronin? I quit reading his replies after the first two paragraphs so I don't have any clue what he's talking about.

Well then ignore that part of the post if you disagree with it. It won't really make a difference as long as you cobsider my main point.

I've found the formula

You see.

Ronin is stupid

This thing he calls god speaking to him

Is more similar to the monkey in Chris' closet from family guy

Than the one that split the ocean in two.

It's either an alter ego and Ronin is scitzo

Or somthing is possesing him, like in the exorcist.

Either situation needs immdient attention

Seriously, judging by biblical description of what he might act like

You might be the goddamn antichrist

Or at least his cousin with Downs Syndrome

Quote:
create something from nothing, and knowing everything

Well...shit Nathan, if you can create somthing from nothing and know every damn thing you're pretty much holy in my book.

---------------------------

I really think he know show dumb he is now and he's just fuckin' with us. I know trailer trash people who drink 5 six packs a day and they're not even this dumb (even when drunk).
