Alright.. 4 entries for this second round... Hachi-Roku volunteered to judge, but i think my disorginazation skills scared him off.. heh... so i judged the games myself. I think i was fair. Anyways, to the scoreboards

4th: Duck's Little Adventure - Ysoft
Graphics 2
Sound 0
Story 2
Gameplay 1
Theme 7

Total 12

To be honest, the story was a little cheesy. And while I did say to make it kid friendly, the gameplay was... excessively simplistic, even if it was geared towards children.

3rd: A Child's Story... - the_dude
Graphics 3
Sound 3
Story 1
Gameplay 1
Theme 6

Total 14

The idea was there in the beginning, but after that, there was nothing else. Battles were the "hold-the-spacebar" variety, save for the boss, which even then wasn't anything challenging.

2nd: Remi and the Pastel Sword - haappy-aardvark
Graphics 3
Sound 2
Story 3
Gameplay 3
Theme 6

Total 16

To be honest, i was expecting more... pastel colours? The intro was kid-friendly, but when the gameplay hit, it got dark graphically. Game would be a lot more fun if it wasn't so buggy.

1st: Prince of Dreams - RedMaverick and Twinhamster
Graphics 4
Sound 4
Story 4
Gameplay 4
Theme 9

Total 25

This is closer to what i was looking for in this weeks theme. Bright, vibrant, colourful worlds. Easy on the eyes. Story was cheesy, but plenty enough to depict the theme. And it was enjoyable.

So, thanks to everyone who entered, and congrats to redmaverick and twinhamster for winning this round.

Fuck yeah! Prince of Dreams won, awesome! Well, in the next few days, we'll post an update/fixed version so if any of you wanted to review it, it'd be able to defend itself in a fair fight! haha. Thanks djfenix though, we busted our asses off to churn out something as creative as we could.

Dead last???? I thought I did better then the_dude. Oh well, I guess it was too easy after all.

Edit: I realize that if I had sound, I would have probably gotten 3rd place.

Just a quick question for future rounds...

Do we get docked points for using ripped music? Did most people use the community-based music on CP? What's expected?

I'm not really sure what the opinion of the community-at-large is right now.

I dont mind ripped sounds, but that will keep you from getting a perfect score on the sound.

Basically, i looked at, first, if the sounds fit the overall image of the game, and second, if it fit the overall theme for the round.

If you didnt have sounds, i cant really give you any points for that.

Okay, thanks.

I suppose my strategy of "This music sounds cool, I'm totally putting it in this game!" might need some rethinking for the next round.

Yeah... Music from battletoads doesn't scream "kid-friendly" to me, heh
