To be honest, i dont even remember how long ago i started this contest. I think i lost count at 9 or something.
But despite that, I don't think I'll ever forget the first contest, which is why the first round is a tribute to the original contest.
Mission 1 - Genre Extremists
The first contest had people voting on genres, and the genre with the most picks would be the genre of the game each contestant had to make. This time around, there wont be voting, and you'll have a choice of your genre, but it's a lot more restricting that the first contest. So here are you picks at genres.
Comedy:
Basically, your main goal is to be funny. Sure, a lot of RPGs have humour in it, but when it comes down to it, it's probably more in the lines of light-hearted more than it is a comedy. So, if you're gonna choose a comedy, your job should be to have your audience falling to the ground and in tears, trying to recover their composure because you're so damn funny.
Horror:
Probably a little more challenging, but your task here is to make everyone who plays your game poop their pants. You want to horrify, terrify, freak them out. Make your game a nightmare. (but of course, not in the sense that your game is so crap that it's scary)
Drama:
For all you romantics, sentimentals, or just down-right emos, this is your task. Make something that will make grown men cry. Not just any grown men. The type that has hair growing on their fingers, crush beer bottles on their foreheads (yeah, the bottle), and wrestle 10 feet grizzle bears down with their bare hands.
Suspence/Thrillers:
If you like mind games, then this is the genre for you. Your task is to make a mystery of sorts. That doesn't solely mean a crime mystery, it could mean a psychological thriller of sorts, or anything that makes people theorize what happens next, then get totally thrown off. Make them wonder what happens next. Make them sit on the edge of their seats til the end.
