Yes. I've announced it before (although I don't think on the boards), and I'll say it again: there will be a non-48 hour version of Arena. >Big grin

I only got a chance to play most of them.

OHR Arena- That game was okay. I went straight for the battle though, even though I probably wasn't supposed to.

IMD VR Missions- This game I think Gilbert could've done better. I think he should ellaborate on it now that the contest is over......if it is yet.

Blow up- Squall's trying to give me a heart attack, I swear. Ha ha ha!

It Came from the Moon- This game was actually the most interesting. The fast-paced 2D sidescrolling along with the story and graphics...it was like playing a black-n-white cartoon show game.

Those were all I got to.

Problem was its ease and incredible straight forward-ness.

RedMaverick: Don't think that people are only voting games because their friends made them. The people here are more intelligent than that. If people aren't voting your game, then maybe they don't think that it's as good as the top 3 that they picked. Whether you win or lose in this contest, think of it as a learning experience. What do you really think is wrong with your game? What could you do to make it better? Think of these questions before making assumptions that nobody played your games.

you're right djfenix, I should have more confidence in my game, I gave it my all, and maybe that wasnt good enough, but I wouldnt have gotten like 33 downloads from it if it wasn't. I'll just see how this goes out.

It came from beyond the moon. The game was strangely appealing, and reminded me of old Gameboy games. My favorite parts were when it said 'Insert Boss Battle Here' or something. That was just funny...

Blow Up. It wasn't really that hard, but it was still pretty fun.

IMD VR Missions. It wasn't that long or anything, but the murder cases were funny and the fight at the end was neat. I think it was better than the ones in the Bastard Guns 1982 game, and I lost it the first time because I somehow didn't notice the thing (if someone hasn't played it yet I don't want to say it) that helps you win until the second time through. I also blew myself up the first time.

1. Sephy's Game. An intelligent, fun game loaded with Sephy style humor. The plot scripting was pretty good and I had a ton of fun playing it. Sephy is a genious. The summon kind of reminded me of tilde. This game had me laughing so hard I practically fell out of my seat.

2. It came from beyond the moon. Wow. That is harcore plotscripting. T-spade is freaking amazing. Fun to play too, less annoyances then scars of glory and less bugs than siv. Very hard, kept me on the edge of my seat.

3. Here's where it gets annoying, I'd like to make a tie between OHR Arena, Kings Basement two, of course blow up, and Mix. Maybe I just won't vote from here on. I honestly can't decide.

Other good games, merely overshadowed by the exceptional ones.
-Mr Triangle game, actually was pretty good. I haven't beaten it, don't know how long it is, but I urge the author to keep making games and eventually they will be really awesome. SO much potential here. My only complaint... drop the Mr. Triangle theme. Its so silly. Make a serious game and I think it might be more apprecieated. Just a segustion though...
-That Dark blubber game, great Graphics man.
-PHC's game. That was pretty funny, nothing compared to walthros obviously but still cool.
edit: HOW could I forget Gilbert's game?! Great stuff, man.

To be honest, I was pretty much pleased with all the games. I might call this the best 48 hour contest turn out yet, but you can disagree if you like. There are less Chenzi style movie games and less 914 pieces of crap (heh, even though that WAS for another contest, I almost entered this one too...) and more games that were actually decent length games. There were a few I could have done without, but overall I was really pleased. I think thats a pretty good last post, eh? Die happy, thats what I think I'll do.

Hey, Zetes! Haven't seen you post in a while. Well... there were a few times, but, you know, this one was longer.

Thanks Zetes, sorry I didn't make your top 3, but I am currently trying to finish Mr.Triangle's final game, and then I will work on ideas I have for a serious game. It'll be good, because I made it, lol, I don't know about that, I make games for my enjoyment, I only post them here so others can enjoy them as well.

2nd-Blow Up, this game was caffenated fun while it lasted...

3rd-Ohr Arena, this was really good. A little repetative though, try to have

Gnome is right fenix. after all, it was a game made in 48 hours, why such the lengthy judging time? I know I would greatly like to see what postings I get in the contest as i am sure others would like to see. and will you post all the ranks all the way to last place?
