Are you sure? Are you sure you are not seeing red squigglies below the words you typo? I see a red squiggly below each instance of the word "squigglies" (not squiggly, which apparently is not a misspelling) in my post.

Strange, mine came with one. But I found this:

http://www.wikihow.com/Install-a-Spell-Checker-Into-Firefox

EDIT: That only works with Firefox 1.0, sorry. I'll see if I can find a 2.0 one.

EDIT2: It does seem that Firefox 2.0 definitely comes with one. "One of the most useful additions to Firefox 2 is the inline spell check feature that hints you of possible spelling mistakes as you type inside web forms." Perhaps you turned it off somehow? It's listed among the official features here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/2.0/releasenotes/

EDIT3: Go to Tools: Options: Advanced: General. It's listed there, you can set it on or off.

I'm pretty sure it comes installed and automatically turned on for 2.0.

Gamelist Searching is broken again?? What is the problem you're encountering, Jack? I was able to search by Title (Faces) and found http://www.castleparadox.com/gamelist-display.php?game=135 as the first game (I should really add in "game" and "song" BBCode tags to allow for easy linking to content).

Ah, nevermind. It seems there's no message that comes up when you search for something that doesn't exist or has no results. Instead it gives you a list of empty games (no titles/authors/stats).

It's still incorrect (though it's not spelling this time). Some one should be someone.

If someone else were to make a boss sprite for you, the player would instantly notice a significant variation in spriting methods.

I have no idea how you're invisioning a character's body parts to be covered in flaming circles. Perhaps you could just change its outline from black to shades of red/orange/yellow.

That could be a good Idea, I guess you mean kind of like the sun's fire? I never thought about that, but it seems it could work! Thanks!

(He is not a boss, he is the (Young) adult version of one of the main characters.

Interesting....

Anyway, it is my suggestion that you don't do this project right now. It seems that you really like this idea, but in order to output it in the fashion that you really want to, you need to learn more about the medium that you are using.

I suggest that you make mini-projects, each focusing on one of the aspects of creating a game; Gamplay, story, Graphics, etc. You can even make little mini-releases and see what people's response is. Then, you can decide if you are really ready to take on this project, and you might be able to find flaws in it that you can fix with your new-found knowledge.

Just my two cents, though I have a feeling that you aren't going to listen to me.

I actually might try that. Sounds like a good Idea.

(Now just need a story idea...)

Haha, that's awesome. Even better is the fact that if Chaotix is actually 17, and he invented this character in first grade, he did not in fact create him "WAAAY" before Rayman. The first game was released in 1995.

Okay, I guess I was off by a year...
