| If we're voting, I vote the opposite of whatever Moogle's vote turns out to be. |

I always assume that it's up to camdog to decide which one it is in the end. I'm still fine with The Eight Granasties. _________________ "I am Collins. I vote for 8 G's because I'm tired of Only1 hounding us. _________________ Indy OHR! and National OHR Month Contest going on now!

I think voting makes sense. We should nominate a pool of games each meeting and pick from them.
Going by what has been discussed in this thread so far, I think this is a good example of a pool to choose from:
The Eight Granasties
Missing
Fat Frog
Fantasy Under a Blue Moon X V4
Crescent Dream
Thanksgiving Quest
Darkmoor Dungeon
My vote goes to Thanksgiving Quest because it's my game, but I have nothing against discussing the other titles. |

Eight Granasties, even though the game keeps crashing at Daryll's place with me... |

I'd prefer to limit the discussion to games that have been out more than a month or two -- after all, people are still playing Missing and The Eight Granasties, and while spoilers are fine for Sword of Jade, which most everyone who's going to finish already has, they may be less suitable for these games.
Fat Frog -- has anyone really played it? Whatever, it'd never win in a vote anyway. _________________

The discussion for Fat Frog is going to be limited to all the flame wars from the past, and it would be a discussion mainly limited to old members reminiscing of those times, and new members playing the game and lacking anything to discuss worthy of time. _________________ http://www.castleparadox.com/gamelist-display.php?game=750 Bloodlust Demo 1.00

Well, how bout this: We'll all vote on an item from JSH's list, and I'll tally the votes two days from now and that'll be our topic. Also, feel free to add a game to the list. I think anything someone deems worthy of being discussed can go on the list, unless a few people have major objections, in which case we can discuss the game in question and muddle our way through its possible inclusion. Sound good?
My vote: The Eight Granasties
[edit]
Actually, on re-reading this thread, it looks like I officially chose The Eight Granasties as the current selection. To keep this from devolving into a never-ending, wishy washy discussion, I'm going to say that The Eight Granasties is definitely the next OHR Bookclub discussion topic. However, let's keep this thread open so we can hash out a good, specific set of rules for deciding upon games. There are plenty of good ideas about that in the thread, we just need to reach a consensus so we avoid any future confusion. |

Here's an idea: in the next bookclub discussion, why don't we list our ideas for the next game after posting our comments on the current one? Someone (Camdog, I guess) can keep track of the suggestions and start a poll topic similar to this one once we're done with the current meeting. (make sure to leave an 'other' selection in case someone comes up with a better idea, of course) We'll give the poll a few days and make our decision based on its results.
Course, I also like going in a cycle, so here's an alternate method:
We could rate a popular game first, a new game second, and have a 'potluck' round third. (where you pick any game) |

Hello? Is anyone going to address this? _________________

| The idea of the bookclub is to discuss games in further detail, and part of the meeting is playing the game if you haven't. It shouldn't matter when the game was released. |

| Why don't we just have multiple book clubs? That way you can talk about multiple games in the same month? |
