I was thinking a top 10

why 10?

10 is a good number.Its big enough to have a good hunk of the games that you actually want to play (this is the Bob's people). And its small enough so that way people really do have to strive and make a great game to get on it. And 10 will be a workable number that will be easy to staff since I don't expect too much help anyway.

If it becomes annual like I suggested I think only games released (or updated) that year should be elligible. There will be a subsite for past winners (hall of fame) either CP will have a site or I'll just get some webspace of my own (recommened for the "territory" thing).

There should also be more than just a lsit of top games for the year but top catigories (best:new hero,new bad guy, gameplay etc.)

Like Fen said & I said before, we need to get toghether a great starting package new for OHRians (yes OHRian).

I know this will sound miserably dumb, but I'd like to get some kind of OHR mag back in production. Weekly isn't going to work. But monthly or by monthly should and if that dosen't we can move to quarterly. Just somehting to look forward to would be nice. Why did OHR Domain ever stop?

An annual award ceremony would be pretty cool. Best game of the year, that sort of crap. And there could be categories, like best graphics, best storyline, best villain, etc. Maybe have a lineup and then have users vote... YEAH, YEAH!

I know I'm probably just repeating what everyone else has already said, so I'll shut up now. Bah.

Based on an annual amount of new games, I'm pretty sure we've got enough for... 2 and a half categories. Maybe 4 if games can win multiple ones.

If a game is good enough to win more than 1 award I don't see why not. Like at the oscars movie A can win best movie AND actor A can win best actor.

I think PM voting would be best.

If this becomes a official CP event (instead of an self run thing) The award could be a part of a users profile, or even a custom title.

Damnit BB, why must you always call when I'm in the shower!

Contest integration into the site has been something Cube and I have talked about for quite a while. The calendar (which needs more work) was the precursor to it and the larger question was how to handle an all-encompasing contest section and how automated it would be. I've got a few other projects I've been working on which has led to a decline in CP updating. Some thought has been put into this, but I'm always open to suggestion.

I'm thinking annual might be too dragged out, and a semiannual would probably increase the incentive to strive for nomination. I'm just basing this on predicted average ohr development cycles.
