Demos don't count. If they do, then they shouldn't. That's what I was telling Fyre earlier... Then again, I didn't start this post (but if I'm wrong, then Mythril Man has a problem with phrasing).

Yeah, Moon Buggie, I remember your dating game. Good to see you back (you might remember me better as Uncommon or Hoshi-Sama).

Actually, it means A LOT to most people. What if you create a good demo that has potential and then you scrap the idea before it's finished? Well, then you get an angry mob of OHR people tracking you down with torches to beat you up!

Believe me, it happened to Sir Phoenix .........(just kidding)

Lone Chimaera: Yep, I do remember you as Uncommon. Seems like a lotta people went and changed their name...either that or left the community. So what's this Fairsdale game you're working on that you mentioned in the other post?

Setu: Yea, and if you create a good demo and you continue to deveop it into a finished game, you'll get a happy mob of OHR people chasing you down with a pencil and paper for an autograph Big grin

Fairsdale's a city in Where Gods and Mortals Dance, one of the game's I'm planning on. It's a rather important city, as many of the heroes live in its suburbs.

Nope, I have no problem with phrasing. Demos do not count as a Finished game. Must I say more? Raspberry!

Well, considering the sum total of my game making experience has been messing around with a copy of the Wandering Hamster game, I'd have to say I have no finished games yet. I haven't even tried working with plotscripting or music making or even simple graphics making. I'll probably make a few test games, just so I can practice with these various things. Once I'm done with that, if I can get a story of sorts going, I may vary well make a game that I'll release, unless of course one of you guys would like to see any of these test games. I'll probably start in the summer, and I would appreciate any advice, so long as it isn't something along the lines of "get out of here you newbie. We don't want you around."
Something tells me however, that I won't run into that here. ^_^

Well, I have to say, if everyone took as much time familarizing themselves with the engine, then we'd see a lot more decent games. I hope you do well.

Yeah, if more people work a lot harder on graphic's, story, and plot scripting, then games would be a lot better. Unfuortanlly, that’s all that games are really, like, if you have great graphics and a pretty good story, but you have no idea how to plot script, then you’re in trouble! But I can't say much...

I don't know about that, FG.
Sir Phoenix made Neo Krysta I with very little plotscripting. Most of that game was based on dialogue and NPC activation. That was before he got off his butt and learned plotscripting.

But I do agree that plotscripting correctly can make your story flow a lot smoother.

I think games without plotscripting are sloppy and annoying, but, then again, I am a plotscripter...
