Ooookay. For those who've been following, none of my OHR programs, etc are working anymore (except through Dosbox but that's far too glitchy to be useful). Aside from a full system wipe, I've no real means of producing games. This of course, means that I'm out of the Epic Marathon contest, will not be entering next TGC, nor will be finishing TSSE anytime soon (that was a given though). Now, I'm assuming I'll eventually be back to programming in OHR EVENTUALLY, but it may be a month or a few, depending on when I can grap an XP Pro cd to completely start from scratch. Luckily, I've got everything backed up.

Now. I'd like to get together with somebody on a project. That's right, I'm selling my services. Whoever can convince me of the value of their work gets my full artistic talents. BUT, I'll only go into work on ONE project. JUST ONE. And that project is...

This is completely serious. I'm not going into this for some halfwit partner who's new to OHR. You have to be able to program in scripts, write dialogue, etc. Essentially you'll be doing everything EXCEPT the graphics. If you have the drive, the ability, and the serious desire in your soul to see such a project to completion, then you'll get my full artistic support in churning out sprites to use.

Reply with ideas, including examples of how you'd go about getting it to work. Of course, a working knowlege of Katamari would be required, much less knowing what it is.

o snap

Didn't someone say he was doing this? Or maybe that was you and I forgot already.

Anyway, I haven't played the game, but I've watched movies of several of the levels. I'm not convinced it can be done effectively, but that doesn't mean I've written it off yet.

Does it have to be OHR? I can see potential with some other language, or even flash, but I think it might be a bit too much of a stretch with the OHR.

My main thinking is just that I wouldn't really want to play it in top down view, which is the only way I can see it being on the OHR.

On a side note, "Black and White" was the runner-up. So if slapping the hell out of an 80 ft anthropomorphic hamster gets your jollies going, I'll consider that too. Actually, that would have been nearly as fun too, but KD:OHR MUST be done.

Bob as the prince?

I would prefer keeping the same characters, but the items/locations could be OHR related. (Castle Paradox level am i rite?)

Agreed. The prince and King of all Cosmos definately.

It goes without saying that I'd love to roll the Katamari over some people, but I'd be getting ahead of myself here

That would depend upon who's making the game. And besides, you guys have made/thought up games based around other other groups before. I seem to recall one game idea whose premise was "Kill PHC". Also, the heroists have been in more games as rule, just because they stick out. Obviously LOME is no exception, and asking for immunity in this is going to get as much attention as a Black Man in the Superdome a Libertarian Party Presidential Candidate.

If you'd rather not have LOME in the game, then design Katamari OHR yourself, and get me to draw the graphics for it. That'd kill two birds with one stone.

I don't mind seeing LOME in someone else's work, even if its being made fun of. Big grin

Just don't kill any birds with stones please. Oookay...
