| But seeing how it didn't do anything and was basically a generic Terrible Game, it won't do our man any good. Memoria and Fantasy Under A Blue Moon X, on the other hand, are some of the best games made with the OHR. If he wants something to learn from, nothing beats the best. |

| Yes. I would also recommend Locked as an example of good tag usage. |

Locked uses plenty of scripts though, so I don't think it would do him any good. _________________ Locked

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, but I've got the plotscripting working now, so I can test with any game. In fact I've got most critical things working, so I hope to have a playable release in the next few days.
I haven't really mentioned what I'm doing anywhere because I wanted to be sure I could deliver something, but now it's in some kind of functioning shape I think I'm on safe ground. I've been working on a complete port of game.exe to 32-bit FreeBasic. I've been concentrating on the Windows version, but the same code should also work for DOS. Linux will need a few changes, so there won't be a Linux version this time round.
In practise, this doesn't mean much - it runs a bit worse than the QB version, and currently lacks sound, as well as mouse and joystick support - but it's only phase 1 in my world domination plan. Getting away from the painful constraints of QBasic is the main bonus, which should pay off with other versions fuirther down the road.
Of course, I'll probably accidentally delete everything now I've mentioned it in public. |

Awesome. Good luck with that. You're not the only one with such a project, but no one else has mentioned any progress in the last forever, so you may just be the furthest along.
I for one am looking forward to the day I am able to play OHR games with full MIDI sound. _________________

Know what? I've officially decided to can OHRFB, and support PlayerOne in his endeavours. I mean, our projects are almost identical, except that:
A) Mine is more work for me (A rewrite, vs a port)
B) His has more progress (A title screen, vs bunches)
PlayerOne, do you have a repository yet? You should email James to get one set up, and I'll set up something for you on Ohr Dev. _________________ I stand corrected. No rivers ran blood today. At least, none that were caused by us.
