This is Jjkaybomb, most of you know me. I'd just like to say this bit...

Castle Paradox was the first forum I ever 'belonged' to. I came here because I wanted to make games. I played such amazing games, Neo Crysta, Who am I?, Halloween Quest, they were all so amazing. The place seemed...almost noble. I looked up to the people here as people I aspired to be, game makers with amazing abilities...I posted my first games, knowing that they were crap compared to all of yours, but I got some prasie. JSH himself said that Kitsune might become a classic with enough work. I was touched and honered.

But now, all that are coming out are joke games, like Zoidenburg, games that take no time and no effort, games that show nothing of the nobility of the first days here. Boy games that THINK that they are clever. Everyhting is lost, I see why Inferior Minion gave up, everyhting is lost to this place, it is now just a hell hole for life's lower beings to giggle at penisis and boobs.

All hope is gone from this place, please, show me you have some scrap of decency and honor that I saw in this place so long ago...

You seem to be enjoying OHR House 2 quite a bit.

A) You are ignoring a lot of non-joke games

B) See Sephy's comment

C) Try making one and see if it takes you "no time and no effort"

D) If it's such a problem, start releasing your own games

E) Taking all that into consideration, you have a point

I'm sure there are lots of great OHR games you haven't had a chance to play yet, try browsing the archives, or even the games with the best reviews.

1) I'm not sure if this was the implication, Moogle, but a lot of effort actually does go into OHR House 2. Uncy and Giz have written some truly fabulous scripts that I had to chop up to hell to get out by the deadline. It's easy to code, but that doesn't mean it takes any less effort than most of the games released here.

2) What? Zoidberg is love. :(:(:(

3) Hahaha, Who Am I? is amazing.

4) As Moogle said, work on your own games. We haven't had many good ones at all in the past few months, including jokes.

No, sorry, I should've been clearer. OHR House is probably one of the harder gimmick games to make. Besides, "C) Try making one and see if it takes you 'no time and no effort'"

I agree with you jj, this place is becoming a hellhole. everything seems to be the joke to people. even people I was hoping to be noble, just joined in the joke posting and such.

I wouldn't be surprised if cn himself gives up on this forum. Big grin

Ysoft, really, what you said just amounted to "99% of the people here are retards or jerks or some combination of the two." If you don't like it, what are you doing?

moogle1, I never said any of you were retards, did i? I just said some of you guys join in the jokes, and not acting serious, even when I tried to act serious(I am refering to miss pixel contest(bad memory)). so if any of you feel that I called you retards, than I a retract my statement, I didn't think you guys were going to take it that way.

Though joke games are jokes, it takes some effort to make them, and it gives a cheap jolt of humor (kinda like a sugar rush, I suppose). Saying the community is degrading because people are making more joke games is dumb, because they've been doing it forever inbetween making their good ones. Good, long games take loads of time and get boring after a while, so I don't see why someone can take a break and make S.III. vs. S.B.A. DX every once in a while.

OHR House 2 is not a 'joke game'. It is a 'funny game' that does take lots of planing and ploting to do

I am, I'm in the process of making a game called "CardZ" and redoing "Kitsune". You havn't seen CardZ yet because I'm having some technical errors and Kitsune is taking more time than I expected. I've also been busy with a comic elsewhere...

Lets see here...A+, Put on Shoes and Arfenhouse...

And those snide comments is what makes CP what it is today.

I havn't gotten on since April 1st because I thought all was lost. It may still be, but at least some people agree with me on this point.

Don't get me wrong, some of the joke games are funny, but really, we have our laughs. Do we need constant humor so we don't drop dead or something? You can be just as easily entertained by serious games.
