Hey, just realized something. One of the differences between map 4 and map 11 is that map 4 has an after-battle script, map 11 does not. And of course, map 4 is the one where the fight formation return value fails to be retrieved. I'm willing to bet that this is the root of the problem. For the record, there are no wait commands or anything like that in the after-battle script. Instead, I think that because game.exe interrupts the current script to run the after-battle script, it loses that return value of the fightformation command. Could this be the case?
PS: I am not going to post the bug in Bugzilla yet because of this finding. I did post the bit about NPC Y(#), though. |

| Probably, try removing the after-battle script and see if it works. |

Go ahead and do it. When I get around to looking at fixing this bug, I might not remember this conversation :)
That is a very plausible theory. The zero you are getting is probably the return code from the last command in the after battle script. |
