|

Hey!
Lately, I've seen a lot of annoying people posting
introductions of themselves and BOOOOY do they
get both annoying and stupid.
So here's a proposal: a no introduction law. When
someone new gets an account, this should be displayed
somewhere. Otherwise, you could put it in the forum
ettiquete (did I spell that right?) and STRONGLY encourage
them to read it (or force them). If they post an introduction
post, it should be deleted (providing it has a high enough level of
stupidity).
The law should state that no introductions should be made
unless they make sense or don't contain something stupid
(e.g. The Princess Lana post and the HamMan post). They should
give expertise at what the person being introduced is good at, their
weak spots, and what games they plan to make (nothing like- I'm good
at nothing, I make sucky games, I CAN'T do DIDDLEY-SQUAT!!!!).
Place your criticism (hold your flaming remarks) here. Is this a good
idea, or a bad idea? |

I disagree completely with this, and propose one of two solutions instead:
A) Revive Paradox Lounge (fat chance)
B) Make an "I'm New!" Forum (slightly higher chance)
The problem with your argument is that it's denying newcomers the right to say something that really isn't hurting anyone. In reality, the only valid argument against such posts is that they clog up the OHR Discussion and Announcements boards.
I've said my piece. |
