I'd like an honest review of Kidworld II. Go on, do your worst. I can take it.

[IM, another review hit on my profile, please]

*leaves review field blank, except for final thought that follows*

Better than Kidworld 1. LoH, have a go at making a traditional RPG, instead of continuing and lengthening an already crappy story.

I don't see the need to scream...

Never. Thaaat's right. Never. I was looking for a good game to start my future of reviewing with, and here we are. Prepare to be amazed at my extrodinary detail and big words (some are up to 6 letters!).

Wow. You know 'extrodinary' as you put it, was more than six letters, and it is spelt extraordinary.

*shakes fist*

I'll work on (and hopefully finish) the Kidworld II review after dinner.

(We've got BBQ! Woot!)

Man, I've got to stop making promises...

Yeah, I sort of forgot about this. I've got a lot of crap consuming my spare time, Renzo, Japanese, School, Track, Art, Gotta read a few books, Archiving reviews. The KWII isn't honestly at the top of my priorities. I'm going to be busy all day today and a lot of tomorrow, too, so I'll try to work on it whenever I can. Remind me with a PM on Renzo.

I thought of reviewing it, but I could sum up my KW feelings in one word, and that wouldn't fit the format of the review thingy. I prefer to review in the Roger Ebert film critic style. Rather than list seperate things, I review it as a whole while breaking it up into paragraphs that focus on the most important flaws and successes of the product.

My one word review went like this:

Shitworld.

But that would've been for KW1, as I'm not playing KW2 anytime soon. Although if you made something new I'd consider playing it, but I've been burnt by Kidworld before, so there's no sense trying again.

This is a case though where the author is still willing to keep trying and learning and thus may eventually make a pretty good game, but KW felt like a practice game. My first game was a practice piece where the FF7 characters of Sephiroth, Vincent in Chaos limit break form, and Johnny (Red flat top guy who hung around goin' "Golly gee Cloud, your girlfriend sure got big ol' hooters! Why you takin' her to a place like this?") went around fighting ravens in a giant chunk of ice.

The game sucked. I never let anyone see it, or put it up for review or anything. It's kinda like if you joined the army you wouldn't want to go out on the field until you learned how to use your rifle right? That's why I don't really think it's fair to the reviewers or the authors to have practice type games on the review waiting list.

Then again, KW2 might actually be pretty good. I won't know until I read a review of it.

I could not agree more. Just wait until the remake, though!

Because Kidworld was one of my better ideas; I just didn't put an awful lot of thought into it. I've already come up with a severley funy intro. I hope that's what you were talking about. If you were talking about KW2... HECK NO! I've already spent too much of my free time on it to scrap it and think of something else.

Ya know, RS!
With guts like that, you'd be one heckuva good film critic, I'll tell you that!
