Review # 51 for Psyco2000
Them's Fightin' Words
This review is for an older version of the game

Hey kids, it yer old Uncle Psyco! I figured I haven't done this in a while, so I decided to review one of the games on this page. And boy, did I pick a whopper. In this one, you are apperently a Turtle named Tipwhip. You fillyfart around untill someone tells you to go save a fortress, I think, and then the game ends. I think it ends there, I'm not sure. This game doesn't seem to want to go anywhere else, so I guess so.

When I first chose this game, I expected something bizarre, but nothing that could cause nausia. Where do I begin? Graphics seem to be the equivelent of someone sneezeing on the screen. Dialog goes on for about five text boxes after it stops being interesting. Comedy seems rushed. Textboxes can cause headaches, being white on a pea-green map. Hell, even the music is annoying after a while, and it's all been ripped.

But is it a big steaming heap? No. I do admire the amount of thought put into the items and shops. You can trade certin items for enchanted versions, a feature that I have yet to see in any other OHR game. You mostly, from what I see, only find broken and rusted weapons. You can use them, and they're pretty good, but if you shell out the money >cough< to have them fixed, they become twice as powerful. It amazes me that in this abysmal game, there is still a bit that higher quality games can learn from. I say Huzzah to you, Rainbow Mage.
Final Scores
Graphics: 1/10.0
The best argument for a 0.0 rateing yet. There's just only so many different shades of green you can use, before it all starts getting ugly.
Storyline: 1.5/10.0
If you look hard enough, you'll find a default plot. I would give it simply a 5.0, but it's so poorly executed, it isn't funny
Gameplay: 7.5/10.0
It plays okay, but gets a bit boring after a while. Kudos goes to the Enchanted and Broken item's, the best feature in the game.
Music: 4/10.0
nothing you havent heard before. It's just, they picked the most annoying files....
Overall Grade: D-
Final Thoughts
It might be bad, but let's face it, it's no Buggamon. I'd only reccomend this game as a refference to the item system. Who knows, if he cleans up the grammer, graphics, and sound, it may become worth it. But in it's current state... Bluch!
